For those who have never been, Barcelona is a truly magnificent city, full of culture, striking architecture and centuries of history waiting to be discovered. Amid the beauty and history, Barcelona hosted some of the most cutting-edge technologies this week at the Mobile World Congress, and Mad Catz was there for this trade show of truly epic proportions!
Mobile World Congress is ground zero for anything and everything mobile. From phone to smart wearables, the MWC is the place to be for all movers and shakers in the mobile space.
Mad Catz hit town with our eco-system of GameSmart mobile products. On a mission to bring real, high quality gaming products to mobile devices, our GameSmart range can operate across different platforms and operating systems, compatible with many different devices.
Appearing at the ‘ShowStoppers’ preview event, Mad Catz entertained some 850 journalists with our entire suite of hardware. Front and center was M.O.J.O., our high powered Micro-Console powered by Android™. We had our console rooted and loaded up with dozens of awesome games, apps and streaming services, all designed to show how versatile M.O.J.O. can be. Suffice it to say, the crowds were impressed!
At this show however, even M.O.J.O. had to fight for attention, up against our first preview of the new Mad Catz C.T.R.L.i! Our very first controller for iOS™ devices, the C.T.R.L.i works with iO7 devices like your iPod™, iPhone™and iPad™, bring real, quality control to your favorite device!
We’re doing all we can to bring our experience and controller know-how to mobile gaming. The C.T.R.L.i is based on our critically acclaimed Mad Catz Pro Controller which we released for console a little while back. With mobile gaming getting ever more sophisticated, we don’t think that gamers should have to put up with sub-par quality or controls which feel like a kids toy.
The C.T.R.L.i is still a work in progress and not due for release just yet, but it DOES give you guys a glimpse at what we’re going for. Premium Bluetooth® components, quality engineering and best in class battery life, we think there will be a lot of iOS fans who will love what they see when we ship (expected later this Spring).
