Mad Catz and Western Wolves’ Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team, although still early in their formation, are taking on some of the giants in eSports at the upcoming Thor Open being held in Kistamässan in Stockholm on December 8-9, 2012.

Ninjas in Pajamas (NiP) are obvious favorites, going unbeaten in recent months and having dominated the DreamHack Winter Championships just two weeks ago. While it may seem like a daunting challenge, our CS:GO team has previously beaten them in the Thor Open Qualifier #2, and are the only team to have done so.

Only eight teams have qualified and all of them are powerful forces in CS:GO gaming right now; the teams competing are: Anexis, gosu, Copenhagen Wolves, Western Wolves, Absolute Legends, Ninjas in Pajamas, Lemondogs, and Hawks.

It’s going to be hard-fought tournament, and any one of these teams is capable of walking away with the victory. Needless to say, anyone beating the favored NiP team would make a huge splash in the CS:GO scene since they have won five offline events in a row without losing a single match.

Our Western Wolves line-up has changed slightly as the team evolves into a new configuration. Anton, the new team member, will be joining the roster for this event and making his Western Wolves debut.
